induSENSOR: Inductive / LVDT displacement and position sensors
The electromagnetic sensors induSENSOR are based on the well-proven inductive principle. They are employed both in single and large-scale applications.
Inductive Gauging and Position Sensors (LVDT)
The probe is pushed against the target surface by a spring.
(V-option: pneumatic extension-spring retraction)
The optimum ratio of measurement range to installed length of the sensor reduces the installation space needed for the VIP series. The parallel connection of the measurement object and measuring sleeve facilitates completely new construction and installation options.
An important advantage of the LVP measuring technique lies in the short length of the installed sensor. This difference in lengths becomes clear in a direct comparison with an LVDT sensor. The loose core is attached to the moving target.
The compact design and the small sensor diameter facilitate the installation of the measurement systems in locations where space is restricted.
These sensors can operate in 160C (320F)
In harsh environments an aluminum sleeve is used as a target which is integrated into the piston rod and is passed without making contact and wear-free over the sensor rod.
